Northstate Giving Tuesday

In an increasingly divided world, GivingTuesday represents a new global ritual based in joy and hope, proving that acts of kindness and goodwill can transcend country, race, religion and political ideals, and create connections between people.

GivingTuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.

The Birds of Cambodia

We all get to see our North American birds.  Some of us slip down to South America, and few make it over to Europe or Africa.  But rarely do we see the birds of Asia!  Andrea Claassen, now working for the Western Shasta Resource Conservation District, will share the birds of Cambodia with us.  Come join us for this view of the other side of the world.

Return of Salmon Festival at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery

Join us as we celebrate the 26th annual Return of the Salmon Festival. This family friendly event is free to the public and will have over 50 booths with information and activities. View salmon spawning operations, a salmon aquarium, natural resource information booths and much more. Ride the free shuttle from the Anderson Walmart to avoid the congestion and limited parking at the hatchery. Food is provided by Black Butte School.

Wintu Audubon will sponsor a booth. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Chad Scott, 619-852-4555, for details.
